A World Record Breaking Attempt
The first Strengthlete Feat of Strength Competition took place on December 11, 2021. This event was aimed at breaking the Atlas Stone world record and setting both farmers carry and bag toss for height records! Yolo Rum was a proud sponsor of the event and was on site to support the competitors. Before we get into the event let’s discuss what makes this event so YOLO.
What Is the World’s Strongest Man Competition All About?
The World’s Strongest Man competition pits men against one another in a battle for glory and bragging rights. The event is designed to push the competitors beyond their physical limits, challenging them not only with strength but also agility skills such as vaulting over obstacles or pulling heavy carts that are purposefully set up for just this kind of challenge!
This sort of competition has been around for decades, and each year it seems like there are more competitors than ever before. Some of them will risk their lives during the competition to ensure that they can be considered as one who is worthy enough in this sport which requires such an incredible amount of commitment from both athletes & audiences, and so YOLO!
December 11th attempt, V23 Athletics in Englewood, Colorado
These incredible strongmen competed to break the world record for U105kgs. On December 11th six of these giants from around the globe descend upon V23 Athletics in Englewood, Colorado for the Strengthlete Feat of Strength competition event where they have one goal: To set a new mark by lifting over 400 pounds or more! The record-breaker contest featured the following athletes’ Mike Congdon, Joshua Eisele, Darin Heltemes, Adam Derks and Adam Geiger. All were ready to set the new records, except Adam Geiger, who had to drop out at the last minute, due to illness. The goal of this event was to attempt to break the current U105KG Atlas Stone world record of 205 kilograms (452 pounds) held by Australia’s Rahn Deuis of Australia. Each of these competitors pushed themselves, but only two men lifted over 500 pounds, Joshua Eisele and Adam Derks tied for 1st with 502 lbs. Although the Atlas Stone record was the signature event of this contest, there were two other record-breaker events held at this contest, the max weight Farmer’s Carry and the max height Bag Toss. Strong Men & Strong Women Love Yolo Rum Gold on the Rocks
"For the price point and the quality, the Yolo Rum Gold is a triumph of a sipping rum that can easily over-match anything else in or near its category.”

On the rocks “Yolo Rum Gold is a triumph of sipping rum that can easily over-match anything else in or near its category.” Yolo Rum is an excellent rum that you can sip on the rocks (on ice). To quote a recent review, “Yolo Rum Gold is delicate and mild on the palate–avoiding all the molasses-driven sweetness–and slides down the palate with the ease of a feather wafting down on marshmallow pillows. The finish is a lingering, oak-driven finale of vanilla and caramel that, while not as intense as bourbon or scotch, would still please most whiskey aficionados. For the price point and the quality, the Yolo Rum Gold is a triumph of a sipping rum that can easily over-match anything else in or near its category.”
