It’s Spooky Season! Get into the Halloween spirit by brewing up these witchy Yolo Rum Halloween cocktail recipes! We’ve conjured up twists on old classics and made a new signature drink, “The Yolo Pumpkin Smash,” created by Mixologist Frank Camel.

Yolo Rum Pumpkin Smash

The Pumpkin Smash is a frothy egg white cocktail with a fall taste that will wake the dead. Serve any of our other three festive horrors over a small piece of dry ice to cast a swirling fog over your drink- be sure to wait for the ice to melt completely or serve from a punch bowl as the dry ice will burn you if it comes into contact with skin. We’re being pretend gruesome here; we don’t need any actual blisters added to your zombie makeup.

These recipes are for single servings but can be adjusted for full party punch bowl size.

Ingredients:

  • Yolo Rum Gold
  • Yolo Rum Silver
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Ginger Simple Syrup
  • Lemon Juice
  • Egg Whites

Instructions:

Make the pumpkin puree by blending the following ingredients to your taste. Mix together: pumpkin puree, walnuts, sugar, peach juice, orange juice. Blend in a blender.

Make the ginger simple syrup by mixing the following ingredients in a pot over low heat. Mix together: fresh grated ginger, equal parts sugar and water, walnuts to taste. Reduce over low heat until the blend reaches a syrupy consistency.

Make the pumpkin puree by blending the following ingredients to your taste. Mix together: pumpkin puree, walnuts, sugar, peach juice, orange juice. Blend in a blender.

Make the ginger simple syrup by mixing the following ingredients in a pot over low heat. Mix together: fresh grated ginger, equal parts sugar and water, walnuts to taste. Reduce over low heat until the blend reaches a syrupy consistency.

For the first layer of the drink, fill a cocktail glass with ice and mix together:
4 oz of pumpkin puree, 1/2 oz ginger simple syrup, 2 oz Yolo Rum Gold.
For the second layer of the drink, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add:
2 oz of Yolo Rum Silver, 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1 oz ginger simple syrup, 1 egg white.
Shake well. Strain the second layer on to the first layer. Add pumpkin seeds as garnish.

Witch's Pineapple Punch

A bright green twist on a classic!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Yolo Rum Gold
  • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 oz Lemon Juice

Instructions:

Pour into a glass and top with lemon-lime soda. Easy enough!

Vampire Blood

A deep red cranberry and cherry favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yolo Rum Silver
  • 3 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1/2 oz Cherry liqueur
  • Splash of Maraschino Cherry Juice

Instructions:

Stir into a glass and top with tonic water or lemon-lime soda.

Caramel Apple Bobber

A sweet treat-inspired cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yolo Rum Gold
  • 1 1/2 oz Kahlua Caramel
  • 1 1/2 oz apple liqueur

Instructions:

Pour into a glass drizzled with caramel syrup and top with an apple slice garnish.
