Who’s ready for The Hukilau 2022? The event is less than a week away, and we’re looking forward to one of the biggest tiki parties of the year! This year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, with plenty of activities and events planned for attendees. Whether you’re into vintage Polynesian art, live music, dance performances, or just enjoying cocktails in a festive atmosphere, The Hukilau is the perfect excuse to get away from it all and experience tropical paradise firsthand. The festivities begin on Thursday, June 9th with a boozy welcome reception followed by bungalow parties all night long!
The Hukilau started in 2001
The Hukilau is a tiki event that began in 2001. It was founded by Christie “Tiki Kiliki” White, who grew the popularity of this celebration from its humble beginnings at Fort Lauderdale’s Mai-Kai and played host through 2016 Today, the event continues to grow, attracting repeat attendees from all corners of the globe and bringing more than 1,200 visitors to South Florida each year.
June 9 - 12 in Pompano Beach, Florida
The Hukilau is coming back this year from June 9 – 12, with a four-day lineup of educational symposiums and parties. The event will take over the Beachcomber Resort in Pompano Beach offering guests a chance to sample world class cocktails made by more than dozen tiki bar professionals across the globe!

During The Hukilau you will get the chance to sample world-class cocktails from 18 tiki bars from the United States and Europe, so come thirsty my friends! The Yolo Rum team will be in attendance, and you’ll be able to taste the “Best Rum in The World” all weekend long.

The Yolo Lupa Lupa
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Yolo Rum Gold
- 1 oz Yolo Rum Silver
- 2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Passion Fruit Syrup
- 3/4 oz vanilla syrup
- pineapple frond and cherry for garnish
Instructions:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients and shake with ice cubes.
- Pour into a goblet, and garnish with both a pineapple frond and a cherry.
