About Yolo Rum
YOLO Rums – from the hand of the master distiller and rum blender, Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez to you. “DonPancho” is the world’s most respected and honored “ronero”. Born in Cuba, where he began his quest for the perfect rum, he has gone on to receive hundreds of awards and has been acclaimed world-wide as the ultimate practitioner of his craft. Now, directly from the master Rum Blender Don Pancho “ronero”, Yolo Rum is proud to introduce YOLO RUM AGED and YOLO RUM SILVER. YOLO RUM AGED is aged more than ten years in charred American oak barrels. This creates the YOLO Aged’s rich tawny color and it’s incredibly smooth, buttery taste. It truly gives the rum connoisseur the satisfaction of sipping the finest rum in the world. YOLO SILVER RUM is the premium rum for mixing. At once slightly sweet and mildly dry, YOLO SILVER will quickly become the “secret ingredient” in your home bar. If you like vodka you will love YOLO SILVER.
YOLO Rums have been created to meet a growing demand for quality rums in an exploding market. They are the perfect marriage of an ancient craft with modern tastes. Yolo Rum founded in Denver, Colorado, has established a partnership with Consorsio Licorero Nacional S.A. of Panama City, Panama. It is a unique pairing that benefits rum aficionados searching for the ultimate rum experience.YOLO Rums are made from rare strains of sugar cane found only in a small areas of Central America and the Caribbean. A specially prepared sugar cane juice is fermented and distilled through a complex, five- stage series of operations. Then “Don Pancho” Fernandez works his magic. He dictates how and for how long the rum will be stored before he decides which blends he will craft into either light or dark liquors.Under his watchful care, the aging of the rums in charred barrels takes care of the rest. And, finally, YOLO is born. Also of note are the added environmental benefits of the YOLO process. The sugar cane plant fiber is used to fuel the boilers that power the electrical turbines used at the factory. Any extra power goes into a grid for general use of the population. This revolutionary process has provided the distillery with a surplus of carbon credits.
